Introducing the LSRP Discord Bot

 

I'm excited to present the LSRP Discord Bot, crafted to enhance community engagement and simplify forum monitoring. 

This bot operates 24/7 on a VPS, ensuring constant availability. 

 

Key Features:

- Bot Configuration: Set up notifications and monitoring easily with !setup and !remove.
- Real-Time Updates: Access online player lists with !online, !admins, and !testers.
- Player Status: Check if a specific player is online using !check FirstName_LastName.
- Forum Integration: 
	- Stay informed with !latest for the last reply.
    	- Use !thread to check remaining replies and receive automatic notifications for new replies.
- Custom Settings: Review the bot's current configuration using !show_settings.

 

This bot sends an automatic message to the server whenever new replies are posted, ensuring everyone stays updated.

I am continually working on improvements and debugging new features. Your feedback is welcome as I aim to make this bot useful for everyone.

Bot is pretty much done.

Can run only in one channel @ a server.

 

Monitors your own faction’s thread; notifies when a new reply is posted, you can check how many replies are left for the next page, and you can see the latest reply.
 

 Monitors UCP; basically everything included in the main post.

LSRP Discord Bot 1.13

- Introduced the !remove command to delete the current server configuration, disabling all bot functionalities.
- Added UCP names for both admins and testers next to their character names.
- Modified the !setup command to allow the bot to operate without monitoring a specific thread, accommodating user preferences.
- Implemented a check to ensure the bot is configured for the server before proceeding with monitoring logic.
- Enhanced the clarity of the !commands command.
- Adjusted forum monitoring to run every four minutes.

LSRP Discord Bot 1.14

- Introduced !last_online to check the last online status of a player.
- Adjusted the bot to automatically restart every 47 hours to ensure continuous uptime.
- Bot is now designed to restart if it encounters specific errors.

- !last_online now works correctly; if a name isn't found in the .JSON file, it notifies the user.
- The !commands list has been updated accordingly.

- Converted the !remove and !setup commands to be accessible only by admins.
- Introduced the !block_guild and !unblock_guild commands to restrict specific servers from using the bot.
- Refined the !commands message to clarify that !remove and !setup are now admin commands.
