this thread will follow the character progression of samuel montes, a troubled kid trying to make an honest living in a ghetto enviornment.

Name: Samuel Montes

Age:18

Background: Samuel Montes is a born and raised local in the vicinity of El Corona, his father being Salvadorian and mother being Mexican. Samuel Lives in Gardens Park with his mother Marisol Espiga and is trying to make ends meet with both Samuel and Marisol Espiga having two jobs to keep a stable life. Samuel tried his hardest to stay on the right path and away from the gang violence with his knowledge of cars, which Samuel had learned with his father Braulio "Brawler" Montes. Nowadays Samuel Montes works at the car shop after dead end (Nacho's Autoshop) thanks to his few pleasant memories he has with his father Braulio showing him the ropes on car repair on Braulio's 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air and a head clothing designer for Krazy Los Originals thanks to the way he dresses, opting to stay out from the rest of the locals and dress more punk/grunge. Although with his good jobs, the harsh reality of life, the violence, the respect and the constant need to having to work just to make it and the lack of guidance from his father Braulio who was deported to Mexico in the 2015 ICE raid due to his criminal record had led Samuel barreling down a life of self destruction, taking along with him a case of severe depression in which he battles to this day, instead of taking prescriptions, Samuel opts for Xanax from the locals or others, to not ruin his chance at the Dead End's car shop due to him being a valuable asset, carrying various career titles with his extensive knowledge on cars such as Technician, Engineer, Mechanic and more. Although Samuel likes to keep busy with his own life, it doesn't come easy with all the locals and his friends being gang affiliated, including his cousin Serena "Tweety" Montes who's under the Tiny Locotes clique, who tried her hardest to keep Samuel out of the gang life, only for it to finally struck Serena and make up her mind to move out of the hood, which Samuel helped her get out of due to her blatant hypocrisy.

Now with Samuel Montes' cousin, Serena "Tweety" Montes out of the picture, Samuel isn't constantly under pressure to stay out of the gang life and is slowing allowing his self destructive lifestyle to get himself affiliated with the 38st gang under the Nite Owls clique that took over after the disappearance of the Gardena Park Locos. Samuel can come across as a non caring local, thinking he has it the worst out of anyone due to his severe depression, but the trait comes off his undiagnosed psychopathy which Samuel isn't fully aware of to this day. Samuel's first baby steps into the gang life were thanks to Miguel "Hectic" Lomas, who introduced Samuel to the chopshop and provided Samuel with his first gun.
