  3. Scenario summary: Onika Maharaj and Ornell “Iceman” Yards — a figure who can be seen as a mentor — are two opposing personalities, although they follow the same god (by walking different paths). Onika, though street-smart, doesn’t have the heart or the mindset to stay out on the streets and take part in the soldier-type activities that would be expected of her. During her time in Iceman’s crew, Onika has always harbored an interest (and above all a need) to base her plays on other aspects of street life — something that would match her skills. Thanks to the advice of her best friend, Nyell Portell, Nika decides to flip the gameplan she was offered and start doing things her way: she dusts off the knowledge that suits her best — the Internet. Onika wants to build income streams through platforms set up on encrypted networks: dark web, metanet. The idea is to create a connection between her products and services (drugs, weapons, fake IDs, forged gun licenses) to reinvest in her own, legit business. The shooting down in Santa Maria just sped up the process, leaving Onika yet again emotionally scarred and helpless. Related posts: Touch With Reality / Friends or Foe / Only You Can Tell It
  4. Black Organized Crime in modern day Los Angeles is decentralized - heavily rooted in prison networks, streetgangs, and out of state DTO's using the city as their stomping grounds. Our faction hosts a wide variety of characters to accurately reflect this. Great attention is placed on fostering long-running storylines that tie every person in the faction together, as well as offer depth to each individual one's portrayal. Membership is open to both new and pre-established African-American characters, queries about joining should be sent to @boris1 or @Iamkaciii @Gnarp.

  10. We aim to portray a small-time, decentralized criminal organization which would mainly consist of Israeli nationals. As based on real events, thoroughly displaying activities from drug distribution and low-level extortion to trading favors to make ends meet and money laundering through legitimate businesses will be the our main goal. Characters from various backgrounds, including Arab Israelis, Jews with Moroccan, Egyptian, and Algerian heritage, as well as immigrants from the former Soviet Union such as those from Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, and Armenia, are encouraged to join the group. If you wish to join please send 50$ via PayPal to @NFL or @Baba Sali alongside a 15,000 words application on why we should even consider having you amongst our group as well as why you're the best role player in the world.
  11. Anton Blok, a Dutch anthropologist, claims the Tanakh is full of horrific stories about murder, ‘protection rackets’, and terrorism. In various texts, the leaders of the Jewish nation are compared to ‘outlaws’, ‘fugitives’, ‘bandit chiefs’, ‘gangsters’. When David escaped from King Saul, he surrounded himself with a group of 400 people, described in 1 Samuel 22.2 as ‘all those who were in distress or in debt or discontented’, and became the leader of an organized crime group, a ‘goodfella’ in exile, and ‘Godfather’ after he accessed the throne. There are analogies between the Cosa Nostra and David’s criminal organization, with David as its leader, Joab as consigliere, and an army of caporegimes and ‘soldiers’ who were all rewarded for their loyalty to their boss. Although David realized the importance of gaining the support of the local population, he did not acquire the status of a Robin Hood, despite his popularity after defeating the giant Goliath. In fact, the locals made several attempts to turn him over to King Saul. This hostile attitude may have been one of the reasons why David turned to violence, running ‘protection rackets’ and making ‘offers that one cannot refuse’. He needed to maintain his organization, and his soldiers had to eat. ‘Clients’ who dared to refuse to pay David, such as the wealthy Nabal, the husband of Abigail (who after his death became one of David’s wives), were severely punished. David also eliminated any witnesses to his criminal activities in the land of the Philistines to keep his racket a secret, which is reminiscent of the omerta principle of the mafia.
