  1. Not a 100% IC issue. More of a script problem encouraging people into RPG style gameplay, player mentality issue and unrealistic in-character gambling laws.
  2. Not needed. I think 2 LEO factions is enough.
  3. I didn't know about the fade effect, thanks for that. I will definitely use that in some of my screens.
  4. I think we should wait a few days and see what the development team came up with in regards to the stash system, and then re-open this discussion. I agree the version we had on sa:mp was limiting and not the most realistic one but that's all we had back then. The limitations were there for sure but not only regarding stashes. I was talking earlier in another thread about gambling, another concept that was poorly executed on the sa:mp version and I hope we learnt something from that. I am intrigued to see the new stash system and the roleplay opportunities it will create.
  5. If there is a good new system that can't be abused, I'm all up for it. If not, we survived on the sa:mp version for over 10 years with the stash cars and I think most people were fine with the way it was. Having all cars spawned when you log in is definitely a no. Imagine each player having 2 cars and there being 500 people online. Assuming every single one is using a vehicle at the same time, you would still have 500 cars spawned for no reason and you will have people with less powerful computers complain about the unnecessary cars causing them lag, people going around breaking into cars in hope of finding a stash, etc. Finding out about a stash through roleplay means and then planning a robbery is something different to going around and breaking into random cars in hope of finding a drug or weapon stash. If there is a new stash system as betonists says, I'm excited to see how our developers thought about doing this.
  6. I hope there will be disadvantages or limitations to gambling in casinos that will push some people to look for the illegal gambling scene. Otherwise, there will be few to no people choosing to engage in the illegal scene when they can just go into a casino, /pay the dealer and hit hit hold and then leave. Just like Dirk says, I feel like the gambling scene on sa:mp was 99% mallrats and insufferable to interact with and the illegal gambling scene was basically inexistent. Personally, I'm sure there are a few factions who plan to engage in illegal gambling and I hope they're not restrained from doing that by the lack of players interested in it due to the legal scene being too good and having no downsides.
  7. I like the idea of the club having actual personnel that make sure they have everything in stock every time it is open. This would create more roleplay sectors such as distributors (people who own stores and will have contracts with clubs for distribution of alcohol and others) on the legal side but also on the illegal side for trafficking counteirfeit alcohol and/or others (hopefully this will be possible at some point script-wise). What I did not see anyone mention is the demographics of clubs. I think some clubs should only be accessible to certain people and what I mean by that is creating a realistic barrier between high-end and low-end clubs: clubs for rich people where you won't usually see gangbangers or normal people that work a 9-5 and then clubs for the others. For example, clubs on Vinewood Boulevard would be high-end where you would see expensive cars, models, rich people, etc and in the southern part of the city you would find lower end clubs that don't have a very flashy exterior and lower quality interiors to make the difference between the two categories of clubs. Obviously the entry fees and menu prices would be different, making it accessible to the targeted demographics. On the other hand, the bouncers of the high-end clubs wouldn't generally let gangbangers in for the safety of the important clientele, not abiding to the dress code and others. Lower end clubs wouldn't have dress code restrictions and also would not be as safe as a high-end one. In the end, this all comes down to how the owners want to administer their club. But I think if those people (the owners) keep this simple thing in mind, realism and the differences between social groups would be portrayed accordingly.
  8. If you click on the slider then use left and right arrows it's way more accurate. That's how it is intended to use anyway, says right there if you read.
