I'm sorry and I don't mean to shit on anyone's work but I am personally not satisfied with this reply. It honestly feels like absolutely all of the previous replies given to all of the previous threads like this with no clear targets, concise suggestions or concrete plans for the future. There were plenty of solid suggestions given in this thread and a simple "we will look into automating some tasks on the UCP without mentioning which ones or how we plan to do it" cannot be considered a satisfying reply and I think I speak for everyone who contributed to this thread.

Please take the holidays to reflect on the situation and let's all try to come up with an actual plan together, have the community vote on all of the pain points. We're all poking you hoping for a meaningful reply and nothing's been given yet. One vote could be if the community wants staff to continue developing LSRP V or focus solely on SAMP. Because at this point, I can say with complete certainty that both projects are doomed to fail.

Yes, all solid feedback and suggestions in this thread. The purpose of the reply was to acknowledge the problems. I responded due to the continued mention of no leadership engaging with the thread.

I took the liberty to explain and expand further on the points I could pick out from the thread, mainly the reoccurring ones. I wish I could give you a whole plan and guide on how to move forward within a couple days, but I'll take a little longer than that.

As I said in my last post - "We have an opportunity to treat this as a fresh start and move into 2026 with a revised vision and clear, achievable goals." This'll be shared in due time. Now it's been acknowledged we can converse on different pain points and acknowledge those too.

  2. I’ll start by saying that I appreciate those who are offering genuine feedback and not bloating this thread with useless comments, which unfortunately happens 99% of the time with threads of this nature.

As always, I apologize for the late response. I wanted to make sure I covered everything in detail. I may have missed a few things, but I can address those in future posts.

From what I’ve read, there are several areas within the community that appear to be problematic. Are there more? Possibly. However, based on what has been highlighted here, these are the points we can acknowledge and focus on heading into 2026.

I’ll summarize them in a list and then address each one:

    • Censorship

    • Transparency

    • Management & Staff Structure

    • Final clarification on RageMP & SA-MP

    • Quality of Roleplay

    • Community applications (businesses, leases, etc.)

    Censorship

One of the most commonly thrown-around terms in the community is “censorship.” No one is actively trying to silence anyone. If you have genuine concerns or feedback, we want and encourage you to share them.

Unfortunately, the nature of online communities also attracts people who do nothing but ragebait, stir the pot, or post low-effort feedback. That’s simply the internet, and it’s not something we can completely prevent. If you notice a post of yours has been removed, it’s usually because it was off-topic, intended to flame someone, or ignored forum rules that exist to keep discussions productive.

If you can genuinely show me something that doesn’t fall into one of those categories and you believe you were “censored,” feel free to send it my way.

On this topic, staff are free to comment as long as they uphold staff standards. I know the next question will be, “What about that leak from 2–3 days ago?” Some staff members did engage in that thread, and certain comments represented the community/staff team very poorly. There is a clear difference between sharing opinions and being openly inflammatory toward the community.

    Transparency

I believe our last few management and staff teams have been more transparent then ever before, yet I continue to see comments about it.

Of course not everything can be an open book and some details need to be restricted to staff. But I'm curious to know exactly what does the community want Management and Staff to be more transparent on.

If it's something that makes sense to be visible then sure, we can certainly look into it and if it doesn't make sense I will explain why.

    Management & Staff Structuring

I'm sure everyone can take a second to go look at the team page we have and see the structure, you can go see the even more broken down version of here.

What I say here also ties into the next topic, but I’ll start by referencing what @badhbh mentioned earlier:

Until this post, it wasn’t common knowledge outside the staff team that @Mmartin is not involved in day-to-day server operations. This was a deliberate decision made when RageMP originally opened. The goal was to ensure that progress didn’t bottleneck around a single person. We experienced that issue during SA-MP, and it was something he wanted to avoid repeating.

There also seems to be a stigma that management is involved in every single server detail, which simply isn’t true. For example, the Head of Staff will not get involved in property-related matters because they are not part of operations. This doesn’t mean they’ll ignore issues if intervention is required, but the purpose of having separate teams and departments is to avoid decisions being made by people who aren’t involved day to day.

As for the current structure: at the moment, not every staff member is committed to a single universe, and this was expected. While some staff have split opinions between SA-MP and RageMP, everyone understands that the main focus is LS-RP as a whole. Once more information about RageMP is shared publicly, there will be clear guidance for both staff and the community on how resources are divided.

    RageMP & SA-MP

SA-MP closed in August 2021, and the community’s focus shifted to RageMP. The goal was to create a server worthy of LS-RP’s legacy, dating back to 2007. After years of development and some unfortunate delays, we opened in June 2023. The launch went well overall, despite some infrastructure issues.

After a few months, player numbers began to decline. This was anticipated to an extent most launches see an initial surge followed by stabilization but unfortunately the decline continued. Ultimately, we made several mistakes transitioning into RageMP, particularly by making aspects such as the economy too realistic. We recognize that this drove players away; grinding virtually isn’t appealing when people already grind in real life.

This brings me back to SA-MP. Reopening it was never a last-ditch attempt to boost player numbers. We knew RageMP needed more work to reach its potential, but we also didn’t want LS-RP to go completely dormant. SA-MP had been widely requested since its closure, so reopening it allowed us to offer something to the community instead of nothing at all.

Since then, it’s been clear that SA-MP received more feature updates while RageMP development continued in the background. With our limited development resources, this balance hasn’t always been ideal. The reality is that our developers are unpaid volunteers who contribute because they enjoy it. This leads to two common suggestions:

    • Get more developers — Finding PAWN and SA-MP developers is extremely difficult.

    • Pay your developers — Unfortunately, the server does not generate enough revenue to compensate developers fairly.

As a result, we have to strike a healthy balance that doesn’t burn out or drive away our development team. Our current efforts are focused on completing RageMP and preparing it for a relaunch, progress is coming along nicely and in a steady manner. I'm excited to share snippets, content and more in the near future.

We’re also working on clarifying all RageMP-related material lore, expectations, and general direction to avoid confusion. We’re not quite ready to share this yet, as we want to ensure it’s done properly. That said, if anyone has feedback or recommendations based on their experience with the previous RageMP iteration, we’re open to hearing it.

You’ll also see changes on the forums, along with announcements explaining how resources will be split between each universe. We understand there are two distinct interest groups, and we’ll do our best to support both so long as it makes sense. If interest in either universe disappears, we’ll have to make decisions accordingly.

    Quality of Roleplay

We understand that the overall quality of roleplay isn’t what it was during LS-RP’s early years, but this is a broader issue across the roleplay scene. The introduction of voice-based roleplay through platforms like FiveM attracted a less serious audience. This is difficult to counter in such a niche environment, but we believe anyone can become a quality roleplayer with the right guidance.

When SA-MP reopened, we saw a large influx of new players. At one point, roughly 80% of active players were brand new to LS-RP. Naturally, many were still learning our expectations and culture. We need to strike a balance if we’re too harsh on new players from the moment they log in, they won’t return.

That said, we agree the application process could be revisited and made more challenging to attract more experienced roleplayers. This will be addressed closer to the RageMP relaunch, and while it won’t be something we heavily announce, we expect the improvements to be noticeable.

Applications within the community (Business, lease, etc)

Another recurring concern is how applications such as businesses and leases are currently handled. Realistically, players shouldn’t have to wait for forum approval and then wait again for a specific admin to process it in-game.

We can modernize this through the UCP and automate many of these tasks. While not everything can be automated, we will work to improve the process overall.

If there’s a specific application flow you think needs improvement, please let myself or another lead know.

    LS-RP's Future

LS-RP’s future remains strong, and we continue to stand by our nearly two-decade-long mission: providing gamers a creative space to play since 2007.

That said, accountability needs to go both ways. Not every issue can be instantly blamed on management. Do we have flaws? Yes. Are we perfect? No, but neither is the community. Many of the harshest criticisms come from banned players who were removed for cheating, deathmatching, or other severe rule violations.

It’s difficult to take criticism seriously at times from those who actively hacked, mass-DM’d, or repeatedly broke core rules. This is a double-edged sword, and both sides share responsibility without question.

We have an opportunity to treat this as a fresh start and move into 2026 with a revised vision and clear, achievable goals. I know trust between staff and players is disjointed, broken and many think unrepairable. We'll do what we can to ensure history isn't repeated but bettered.

This post will be re-opened and we'll have a continued open dialogue as always intended, if your comment is not on topic it'll be removed without question.

Why are posts still being removed? If the staff team wants us players to trust them, then you should return the favor by trusting us. This is not the way to go.

Whatever posts are being deleted / removed do not have any value being in this thread. Time and time again we have said we do not want this thread derailed. One post was trying to relate this on the actions of Napoleon in 1812. It's simply added noise.

Unless management participates in these kind of threads, they render useless. Last thread was 8 pages with not a single comment from management (Oh my bad, they had one post saying not to doxx or flame or whatever and then closed it). The vets can toss ideas and reflect until next month but without management actively responding to them, which doesn't seem like they plan on doing, it's pointless.

Still not a single response from any upper management between this thread and the last thread. LSRP staff is clearly cooked, empire is dead.

Just on these points about no one from leadership responding. We want to allow open conversation to happen, the last thread blew up quick and then descended into what it was, didn't give us a real chance to respond properly and spent the time firefighting instead.

This ones been open for nearly a day and thankfully hasn't spiralled. I'm currently reading what's been said in this thread and collating a response, so we can converse and be transparent, staff team to the players. Give me a little bit of time and you'll have a response within a few hours.

I've been trying to get some mapping added around Jefferson since (checks logs) 2019. Since the re-opening I've been PMing back and forth with Caledonite and all I got was fuck all. Even got somebody to help us out, did parts of the mapping and when we needed help with a few things, nobody could be assed to give us a hand. And then, my ideas got shut down because they don't fit with the LS theme. Thank fuck the DayZ mapping fits. And its conveniently outside of our turf, great.

After seeing the 656th precinct added and mapping done in bum fuck no where near the prison, I gave up hope. God forbid one of the largest faction on the server (that struggles with retaining players btw) and is still active gets some features added in to motivate people to play even more and just add something new to the scene. Or at least checking in with us "hey guys, check out his DayZ corner yall can do shoot outs in, ya like?". Had to see the abomination through leaked staff chats. Smh.

Anyway I lost all hope atp.

Edit: 38St has the same issues as well. And from what I can see, the mapping that 38St did themselves and asked to get added to the server, and the shit I just seen above, doesn't fucking match at all. But I guess communication is hard in 2024.

Edit 2: On second glance, thank fuck for the hobo-land corner on east LS. I bet it will get the spot jumping.

Why is the mapping team hell bent on creating mapping that benefits nobody and doesn't bother checking in with ACTIVE FACTIONS ON THE SERVER? Where RP is actually being done? Where the mapping can be used most? Fking hell.

Hey. Please shoot me a PM and we'll get the mapping you had looked into and added.

I know there was a previous request but I want to make sure it is actioned properly this time. Apologies on the previous attempt, we've now setup communications like I said. I'll work on a way for active factions to make direct requests.

Why was the post and video proof about Eren/Andy_Walker removed? The fella that posted it said that he will be making a staff report about it. I guess that transparency flew over our heads with this.

Hiding it so public opinion doesn't cloud judgement on a staff report, while I'm all for transparency the case with Iudex was black and white hacking. This one is a little more complex with it surrounding LFM Rules, investigation into the situation, and so forth.

Last thing we need is for public opinion to go right out the window and demand action when the clip is severely out of context! The report has been forwarded for investigation regardless.

Along with that, if you look at the recommended post on this topic, it offers nothing constructive from a brand new burner account. This topic is not the place to do it, you get transparency when we are certain of actions and conclusions.

  7. Greetings LS-RP!

Over the past few days, I have been working to make LS-RP a better place for both staff and players.

Firstly, I want to address some issues within the staff team, as they have been mentioned multiple times by both community members and staff. We have started to remove inactive members from the team. By the end of the month, all of our current "dead weight" will be removed.

After receiving suggestions here and internally within the staff team, I’ve revised some of our policies. One of the revisions concerns the rule that admins can’t handle their own situations. While the policy wasn’t explicitly worded this way, it was intended to prevent conflicts of interest or bias when admins were involved in situations. Admins could handle these situations if no other admin was available, but this was often misunderstood and didn’t happen in practice. For the sake of both players and the admin team, this rule has been removed. The admin team is now expected to use common sense, along with the training they received during their Trainee Admin phase.

Regarding policies, we’ve clarified our stance on "education over punishment." I believe this stance was misunderstood and taken too literally. Since the rule was introduced, there has been excessive leniency within the staff team when it comes to punishments. For example, you might have seen a level 30 player breaking basic rules and receiving multiple warnings instead of being properly punished. Our Admin Team has now been instructed on how to handle these situations, and you will see us becoming stricter with those who have previously abused this leniency.

In the past week or so, we’ve also increased the number of active mappers and modders on the team. You may have seen some of their work on our Discord. For those who haven’t, I’ll display some examples below that will be included in our next update.

    untitled.png?ex=67667f2a&is=67652daa&hm=

The following is a WIP / Example of what the mapping team is up to, this is to do some long awaited map updates (THIS IS NOT FINAL AND CAN CHANGE) :

    sa-mp-504.png?ex=6766b889&is=67656709&hm

    sa-mp-506.png?ex=6766b88a&is=6765670a&hm

    image.png?ex=6766615e&is=67650fde&hm=38f

Along with this, I’ve worked with IFT/IFTC to establish a direct line of communication between our teams. This is aimed at improving wait times, communication, and addressing the various concerns that have been brought up in this thread. A special shout-out to anyone who has previously had issues with requesting maps or receiving responses from the modding or mapping teams. If you have maps ready and just need them added, feel free to send them over to me, and we’ll verify and add them.

One key point that has been raised is the new player experience. As @ROZE is our Head of Player Experience for SA-MP, I’ve asked him to investigate how leadership and development can improve this experience from the very beginning. We’ll have more insight and information on this soon. If you have any clear examples, please direct them to @ROZE.

I know there are many more points in this thread, but I hope this provides the transparency the community has been seeking. I will be working through the thread and taking everything into consideration, addressing quick wins where possible. Larger and more complex issues may take time to resolve, but I appreciate that the time to act is now, and we are doing just that.

I hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas festivities and spending time with loved ones. That’s all from me for now.

    Peace & Love,

    Jack

    - Fires in hotspots that show organisation, orchastration and entice people to join

    - Recruitment Fairs, again advertising in game that would entice people, focus on bringing attention to players surrounding  FD.

    - Enable new joiners to operate the ambulance and heal, its not hard  to do some roleplay surrounding patching someone up, atleast until members  are rolling in

    - Increase pay, some sort of incentive for people to actually join the faction, is there an influx in new players? Accomodate them.

Sorry to say, all of this has been done over the course of 17 years, it will not change. Join FD if you want to see change and push activity.

  9. Posts going at peoples throats will be removed as its nothing constructive to this post.

I gave my final warning when I re-opened this topic, I do not want to close it as I want to have an open forum. If you've nothing to post that isn't going to help in the long run, close your tab or your browser and continue about your day. No one here wants to listen to it.

  10. It is not our intention to go on a spree of hiding posts and banning members of the community from the forum for simply stating their experiences with certain staff members. We've already been through some of the hidden responses and unhidden those that were not directly attacking someone or stirring the pot, ones that did will not be unhidden, not because we are censoring but they add nothing to this discussion. We are also unlocking this post so allow further discussion between the community, but that means;

This is a final warning, if this becomes a channel to just argue and share issues with particular members of the community or staff then I don't want to see it. If you have issues with staff and have evidence to back up your statements I want to see a staff report submitted so we can ensure it is being handled accordingly.

This isn't a topic either for players who are banned to try and prove their innocence, we have staff reports and appeals for this and it should be utilised. Same as before, if this is the case then I want to see it submitted.

Come together as one and share valid and constructive feedback, constant back and forth with members only floods and hides what could be important messages.

No argument from my end! But definitely not in good taste for this to be the only response to come from any lead admin!

As far as @jcgortez, he still calls it the SASD. That's all that needs to be said about the validity of his opinion.

Read the thread where we wanted to promote hi- Oh wait you can't.

A lot of players are sharing their feedback, which is fine. I just don't want it to be clogged up in messages between two players going on about their own issues with each other.

Can't wait for more excuses. Answer me this first though, why was his post removed?

To stop speculation and misinformed statements being spread throughout the community.

The post will be made available once it’s been addressed. Last thing we all need is it being spread around and people taking it gospel on their first read through.

After it’s been addressed and if people have already formed opinions or made their own truth that’s fine.

LS-RP is a different place as it was a few years back and you’ll see that later. We address things head on and continue progressing the community forward.

What part of the forums aren't currently accessible or do you think should be accesible.

I'm going to work through and make it more visible, but I need a benchmark to go off. I looked and a lot already is.
