  1. I am dumbfounded as to why they would try to depict it in such a manner. It doesn't work. Ignore what the story says. Travel times should be travel times, nothing else makes sense. Whether or not the map is a realistic layout we cannot change and should just be accepted as it is.
  2. If the demand is high, then there will always be a supply of mechanics online. It just has to be worth their time. It doesn't even have to be that expensive to get your car fixed for mechanics to profit. I don't know how fast bicycles are, but if they are fast, then just nerf their speed? It's jobs like these that we SHOULD encourage on the server. Not a checkpoint to checkpoint scripted job. It activates role play AND it is a viable means to earn some scripted cash.
  3. Houses should be created in any environment granted that the request is merited.
  4. Yes, you are right. However, that doesn't change the fact that this is a game and that people play it for fun. No matter how much you'd like to force any time that they'd have to spend in prison, they won't role play it if they don't feel like it. Any tyrannical measure trying to enforce this will only make the matter worse. I am not saying that the idea on prison role play is lost, just that you'd have to come up with a creative solution for it. Compromises, compromises. Now, if there was something captivating (for everyone) about role playing in prison, then we can begin talking about extending the jail time. If you want an amazing role playing environment, you have to create it. I believe in you.
  5. But your solution comes at a cost too great. Last thing we want to do is limit players and their role play. If they wish to set down shop somewhere in God knows where, then why stop them? So that we can have more players on the street? Quality over quantity. Liberty over restriction. You want to develop hotspots in specific places, but that will happen naturally anyway. So, where would you have these hotspots, and what would they be? What do you suppose these players will be doing on the street? You're forgetting about the intent of role play just so that you can have an illusion of a city that is more "alive." I rather have actual role play going on, then a facade. There may be characters and factions that do not fit in your limited areas of operation.
  6. That's the nature of the game. Hub oriented. So: create more hubs. We should not restrict any interiors or any place for that matter just to have more people outside on the street. There may be a problem about how difficult it is to find role play in the open world though, but that's not solved through any means of restriction. I think you should focus your efforts on solving that problem first. If we need more role play going on, it would be solved by... more role play, am I wrong?
  7. I wouldn't mind if your vehicle could get totalled (if in a serious crash) and for it to be a pain in the ass to fix, because that would naturally encourage people not to drive like assholes. Also, I would encourage anything that adds role play to the server. It adds frustration, but it also adds another level of risk and role play. Just don't buff police vehicles. (I don't know why I feel that I have to say this). They should break just as easily as any other vehicle. (perhaps adjust damage levels from smallest -> biggest vehicle) Yeah, maybe it sucks if you're just driving around and happen to crash. But then you're not role playing anyway. I can see this giving cabs more customers as well, for example: if there are no mechanics online. You shouldn't be able to repair your vehicle by yourself though, and not even have mechanic as a second job, because then everyone can just /v get their tow truck and fix it themselves. In that case, what's the point of having this system anyway? Now, most people can change their own tires and fluids, BUT, if we wanted to add more interaction between players, we could have mechanics have to do that as well. (You'd have to go to a shop to get your tires and fluids changed).
  8. honestly any drift missile for the track. s14, cresta, s13, s15, chaser, laurel, whatever for commute? cresta/chaser or some dope old lexus
  9. tire wear is a good idea. it'd be nice if you could maintain your engine to prevent it from going bad.
