  2. (( The organization associated with the Peckerwoods presents a portrayal of a reformed neo-Nazi group. It's crucial to clarify that this portrayal doesn't reflect our out-of-character beliefs in any way. We aim to depict a unique approach to the Peckerwood concept, more aligned with current times. Those interested can reach out to @Heliusdirectly on the forums or Discord. ))

  3. You don't need a lot of players to roleplay or develop your character. Though you need others because there's only so much of developing you can do alone :]] Back in "tha day" there was a lot of interesting roleplay happening on the server - unique characters and factions. I remember LS-RP SAMP covid peak (700 players, full server), but even then roleplay quality was not that great comparing to what it was years ago. Player count is not the golden ticket. A lot depends on factions and quality of roleplay players create. The events are great don't get me wrong but what gets me going (and others I guess) is the developing of your character and achieving goals you want to achieve (motivation to play and grind?). You can't expect people to grind when there's no reward. Having 50 players does not motivate me to stay in game for hours. I miss factions you needed to up your game to be associated with (not just joining a discord) - there was roleplay going. And you didn't need to know anyone on Discord. I remember the madness back in the day... Getting shot? Getting robbed? Or just being a witness of something crazy? No one taking aesthetic screenshots? Yeah. Also... I get that having fun in-game can get people going but do you really want to "have fun"? "Going IG and having fun" is not a solution here. Though I think the player base will be going up with time if the management does not give up on LS-RP and keep up the God's work! Peace

  8. The screenshoting mindset is a lot of the problem. The screenshoting roleplay is very limited. It's a new wave, trend or what ever you want to call this. Older people that does have the experience is not playing anymore and the new ones are not interested to play here. The no screenshot days are over. We have what we have and there's no need to reminisce over the old days. If the players want to take screenshots - they should. Also I see people on Discord making fun of the player count... People like to pretend they care but they do not. You think people would care if there was 500 players playing? People would still be unhappy and find holes to poke at. I guess what I'm trying to say that LSRP is doing a great job keeping this up and there are smart people behind this. Don't stress about the player base.

  9. I agree with the whole shift to taking screenshots and turning it into like a movie of your character. I had the most fun when character showcases weren't a thing and people weren't doing silly /me lines for the sake of screenshots

  10. Just something that's been on my mind AWHILE and felt like sharing today. Discord's kind of killing RP. The most fun I had with RP was when nobody knew what my character was. There was no planning or looking for reason to login. I just logged in and let the story write itself, met a lot of cool people and had a lot of fun. But then I started joining discord servers and oh boy, there are A LOT of them. Every company/business/faction has one and somewhere it feels like we lost the plot with our reliance on discord for everything. It's now come to a point where people won't login unless somebody posts a "reason" for them to login and those "reasons" won't come unless people login. Chicken and egg problem? I'm not blaming Discord for low playerbase. But, just felt that it somehow kills the charm of storytelling. Idk what I'm trying to achieve by posting this but just felt like posting this lol

  11. Its hilarious to see people bitch and moan on discord about people not loggin in > while not loggin in themselves also yeah, agree with what u said deceive. Gotta lure people in with 'reasons' aka events, when in reality, if those people will log in (without giving a reason) then a reason to be ig will appear. But now, with the current situation, unfortunatily thats the way to get people ig cuz now even if i get ig and want to get a reason to stay - i dont have it cuz i dont have anyone to communicate with, even after driving for 10 minutes all around AND thru Mirror Park [which should be the RP hub afaik no?]

  14. Script Name: Drug System | Written By: badhbh Introduction LS-RP provides you with a wide range of drugs (accompanied by various (side)-effects) to enhance your character's portrayal. List of drugs Street Drugs Cocaine (Powder) Crack Heroin Marijuana (legalised in Los Santos) "Meth"amphetamines Mushrooms/Shrooms MDMA/Ecstasy PCP Peyote Lean Ketamine Nitrous Oxide LSD/Acid Prescription Drugs Alprazolam Diazepam Oxycodone Paracetamol Drug Effects Most drugs at launch only have cosmetic, visual effects on the screen, with some notable exceptions. Paracetamol and Oxycodone are used to combat the effects of being revived from a brutally wounded state; which caps your health at 50 points. Paracetamol temporarily add 15 points to your maximum health, and Oxycodone adds 30 points to your maximum health. These effects are temporary, and will never take you over your maximum health capacity. Cocaine currently counters the visual effects of alcohol and reduces recoil. Methamphetamine decreases incoming damage by up to 50%. PCP works similar to Meth, decreasing incoming damage by up to 50% but also increases your maximum health cap by up to 20 points. Lean works similar to Paracetamol and Oxy, explained above, and can increase your maximum health cap by up to 40 points. Other drugs such as Alcohol, Mushrooms, Peyote, Nitrous Oxide, Marijuana, Crack, Heroin and LSD only effect the visual effects on screen. Took too much? Alprazolam an Diazepam counter the visual effects of all street drugs. Using Drugs To use a drug, select it in your inventory and right click it - then choose the amount you want to use. You can also split these into different stacks using the 'split' option. Obtaining, Sharing and Storing Drugs Street drugs must be obtained from a dealer, who you'll have to find on your own. If you're looking for prescription drugs, you will need a prescription from the FD and redeem it at a pharmacy. If you want to share drugs with others (or are selling them as a dealer) the command you'll need is: /item [slot] give [PlayerID] The slot number can be found on the top left of the inventory item, and the Player ID can be found by using /id To store your drugs, there are small, medium and large ziploc baggies available from gas stations around the map. These items can then be placed, held or thrown if needed. COMMANDS /item [slot] give [PlayerID]

  15. lol u guys are being disingenuous. before discord we had skype and before skype we had IRC. there's always been ooc mediums to organize roleplay not only that but gta5 is too big and cumbersome to facilitate fast dynamic rp. spending 10 minutes going through loading screens and getting your pc bricked only to navigate a colossal dystopian city in search for scraps of rp is not a viable thing u could boot samp in 20 seconds flat and be rping within 2 minutes of logging in which isnt the case here

  20. The screenshot situation on V is/was so much better than SA-MP in all honesty. It used to be pretty bad, to the point the collective activity of (official) factions was below average, but screenshots were up. A lot of it was scripted & people literally just logged in to get “screens.” It’s a pretty neat way to showcase your roleplay, IMO. I think it’s cool to explore avenues that people wouldn’t regularly RP through screenshots.

  25. Script Name: Camera| Script Author: Java | Written By: Deceive Introduction This feature allows you to take high-quality photos (screenshots). Where to buy? The camera and lens can be purchased at the 'Electronic Store' located in Davis Mall. Feature Info This feature consists of two parts: Camera Lens The camera allows you to capture photographs with a specific focus. Follow these steps to achieve focus: Equip the camera from your inventory. Right-click the mouse while pointing at the object you want to focus on. Left-click to capture photographs of the object that is being focused on. While the camera enables you to capture photographs, it does not support long-distance zoom or high-quality photos. To achieve these features, you need to purchase a lens. You can then use the lens by following these steps: Attach the lens from your inventory. Turn in the direction of the object you want to focus on and right-click your mouse. Utilize the mouse scroll to zoom in and out. Capture high-quality photographs by left-clicking on the object(s) in focus. NOTE To hide or retrieve the camera object, you can use the /camera command, but make sure the camera is equipped for it to work. To detach the lens from the camera, access your inventory (press "i") and click on the "detach" option for the camera. COMMANDS /camera

  26. Script Name: Cinematic Camera | Script Author: danut | Written by: danut Introduction Stepping your screenshot game has never been easier. Gone are the days when you were trying to place your mouse in the most awkward angles or try to get the best with what the native GTA V camera offered you. Now, with /cinematic you can tilt, twist, move and turn your camera at any imaginable angle so you can get that crisp screenshot for your faction's thread. Feature The Cinematic Camera allows you to move your camera in a limited radius of your character and position it in every way possible; this tool allows you to break free of the standard camera constraints, allowing you to explore the best angles for your character! Bird-eye view? Dramatic low angles? The possibilites are endless. Commands /cinematic Media

  27. Back then, if you wanna meet someone you get IG and look for that someone, everything happened ICly, no OOC intervention. Times were simpler, people cared about RP, seeing and interacting with the city from their characters eyes, people back then cared about creating stories and develop their characters, doesn't matter if the win or lose. Yeah we'll never have that again.

  32. Hello, I've decided to create a thread for Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, this was the game platform for the LS-RP community before moving over to Grand Theft Auto V. If anyone still plays this game, wants to share their memories, thoughts about Singleplayer or Multiplayer then feel free to do so. Things like videos/memories are also very welcome. I'm sure just like me, many of you have grown up playing GTA San Andreas and have probably made plenty of friends and memories over the years whether on LS-RP or some other community/server. I don't support advertising other servers on LS-RP and I would advise you not to do so, you may share your memories and story from another server but keep in mind that advertising isn't acceptable. I'm looking forward to seeing your contribution to the thread whether in form of a story, imagery or videography.
