  1. Hello, Big news today. Never thought I'd be announcing this in a million years, but here goes. Due to popular demand, we'll be re-opening our San Andreas Multiplayer server. Normally, I wouldn't consider this decision because all of our primary focus goes into developing our RageMP game mode, however due to things being a bit quiet lately we've concluded that it won't do us any harm run both servers side by side for the time being. We'll be releasing the SA-MP server in pretty much the same state as it was last turned off in 2021. We won't be deleting any characters or assets. We'll have to do some database cleanup at least, but it'll be very minimal. This of course opens a whole new sets of challenges, both personal and technical. I'll try to answer some of the more pertinent ones right off the bat, and the rest will be clarified as we go: We'll continue to use this forum and create new sections that are necessary. The old forums will remain available as an archive as they are now. Staff members will be staff on both game servers. Reinstatements into the staff team will be available, even for members who only want to play on SA-MP. We don't want to set any expectations in regards of longevity of the SA-MP server. If there's reasonable interest in it, players want to play it, and it'll support itself financially, this can be more than a limited time experiment "nostalgic blast from the past". Most legal factions will, at least for the time being, remain with shared boards and leadership across both game modes. Reinstatements will be possible, even for players who only want to join on SA-MP. Technicalities of this implementation will be made available later on. Factions will be fully supported by the IFT. We're also going to facilitate some form of asset transfer (cash) from SA-MP to V. This will of course have its restrictions to avoid just massively flooding the RageMP server with hundreds of millions; however with our pending economy overhaul on RageMP, assets will be much easier to come by regardless. As far as the timeline goes, the main technical challenge why we can't just turn it on now is that some functionality on the SA-MP server heavily relied on the old UCP (spawn change, skin change, etc). We need to re-add this functionality to our current UCP, and adjust our infrastructure to support the new (old?) server. There's also a bunch of small tidbits that aren't compatible with our current database structure (bans and such) that we need to adapt. This won't take too long, but given our track record with release dates, I'll save it for when we really know. But since I can't help it, my current estimate is 3-6 weeks from now we should be open for business! Keep in mind that some of the information above may change, if it does, you'll know. I'm sure you're wondering what exactly this means for our RageMP server. The way I see it, opening the SA-MP server up will help us with our current goal to reach the players we've left behind one way or another throughout months since launch. We hope that by engaging players in our community and platform, we'll be able to show you all the incredible progress we've made on both our game mode and process since launching last year. Our primary development focus will remain on RageMP and improving on the already great game mode we've created for you. We've a new defined set of priorities that we want to follow, and most of our focus will be going towards customization, ease of access to assets and features with a non-restrictive economy, and support for illegal factions. Check our Roadmap to see what we're working on right now as a part of 2.0 update, which includes long-awaited features such as Burglary, Social Media, Blackjack (yes, I know), further character customization and more. We're on a good track here, with both Burglary and Blackjack going into testing next week. All of this was announced earlier today on our Community Meeting. I believe that essentially stopping doing these after launch was unfortunate, however hindsight is 20/20 and with the constant chaos going on, it was easy to forget why they were so important. You can expect these to return on a semi-regular, roughly bi-weekly basis. I'd like to close this post by pleading to those who left our community because they were unhappy with the direction, or features we launched with. Now that the chaos of initial months are over, we're steady building on the solid foundation we laid out. Over the months, we've released many great features such as Graffiti, Pets, Purchasing properties, Drug packages, Cinematic mode, Startshift, Turf map, Facial expressions, thousands of clothing, animation and furniture mods, Second hand car dealerships, Spawning multiple cars at once, Hair ties, Paintball, Modshop, new Makeup script, Scratch off lottery, and many, many more. We've fixed hundreds of bugs and hosted around 40 official events. And we're going to keep doing that and more. Our sole motivation for doing so, and keeping on even when times are tough and the player base isn't what we'd have hoped it to be, is that we want to bring you, the community, a fun place to play. So consider (re-)joining a faction or creating a one, or joining the staff team. If you believe you can make LS-RP better, reach out to me directly and if it's in the best interest of the server, I'm sure we'll find a way for you to be involved. If you've unresolved grievances that stop you from returning, reach out to me directly as well. I'm here to hear you out. Martin on behalf of LS-RP Leadership

  2. Hello, I've got some exciting news for you today — from all angles! We're releasing the Major Update 2.0 for our RageMP server and have some news on the timeline and remaining work for relaunching our SA-MP server. RageMP Major Update 2.0 The 2.0 update has been in the works for quite a while and as the stars aligned, it includes several sought after features once again. It includes bangers such as Burglary System, Blackjack, In-Game Social Media, Character Export to Menyoo, and other features and fixes. The full changelog is as follows: [Major Update 2.0] - Adds Blackjack - Adds Burglary features - Adds /addcontact [phone number] [contact name] as a shortcut to add contacts - Adds /delcontact [contact name] as a shortcut to delete contacts - Adds /faceinvader (aliased /fi) to access Faceinvader while in-game - Adds the ability to export appearances into Menyoo XML format via the UCP - Adds placing items (such as weapons) inside of properties - Adds a non emergency hotline (991) - Adds ability to toggle furniture item collisions - Fixes certain appearance features' opacity not loading correctly - Changed the DMV practical test to automatically set /limiter - Changed the DMV knowledge test to increase the timer from 5 minutes to 10 minutes - Changed the DMV knowledge test to remove the long fade transitions - Changed the UCP character application process to only be necessary for your first character Blackjack It is now possible to play blackjack on any furniture item of the 'ch_prop_casino_blackjack_01a' model. You don't need to be in a casino to play it, all you need is a property which you can furnish, or access to one. You can manage the settings of the table with /bjtable. The table settings also support a "Practice mode", which lets you play without deducting your money at all, making the game available to you even if you're strapped for IG cash. Make sure to enable the table and put some money in the till so you're able to play. The game supports up to 4 players + an NPC dealer. Hitting, standing, splitting, doubling and surrendering are all supported. If you're unsure how to play, or want to check the table's rules / settings, you can view the rules via the "Info" option when approaching a seat, or by clicking the rule book icon in the Blackjack UI. Quick note, we haven't added crowbars and lockpicks to the stores yet to give players a chance to upgrade their home security systems. You can read more about this feature in its documentation here: Burglary System An important part of roleplaying is finally getting the attention it needs. Gone are the days when you forgot if you locked your property's door or you feared that anybody could just break into your apartment and steal your hard-earned drugs & cash. With the new Burglary & Property Security system, we're offering opportunities for legal and illegal roleplayers alike. You can read more about this feature here: SA-MP Relaunch Milestones With our 2.0 release out of the way, our major point of focus for the upcoming weeks will be preparing the SA-MP server for launch. We added a SA-MP section to our roadmap which you can find here: SA-MP Roadmap · LS-RP Roadmap (github.com). We're currently targeting three milestones: - Staff release: Open the server for the staff team to begin testing its integration to our current systems. We estimate this milestone to be completed in less than one week from now. - Pre-release: Open the server for our valued donators who've the premium membership activated. During this phase we'll give our infrastructure a rigorous test and finish work which is necessary for the release. We estimate this milestone to be completed in 1-2 weeks from now. - Release: Open the server for everyone. We estimate this milestone to be completed in 2-3 weeks from now. We offer the aforementioned estimates in good faith and are working hard to meet them, or even deliver earlier. If anything changes or we encounter any hiccups along the way, we'll be sure to inform you ahead of time and explain what's happening. In the last two weeks, we've done a lot of work behind the scenes ranging from preparing our infrastructure, migrating processes and consulting our teams on how to make the relaunch go as well as it can. Some core takeaways are: Focus Key focus for all teams will be in-game activity and providing support for business openings and factions, so everyone has the tools they need to roleplay. If you own a business on SA-MP and are planning to open, contact Commerce & Estates. Business auctions will take place after the first two weeks, assessing business activity. Community engagement will be focusing on promotion of both the SA-MP and RageMP server (graphics, videos, ads). Events team will be focusing on an initial launch event, and aiming for one event per week. Our eventual goal is to host two events every week, one for the RageMP server, one for the SA-MP server. Official Factions Factions which were official from one year prior to closure of the SA-MP server will be able to apply for an official faction status. Schemes Illegal faction schemes will work slightly differently, more info to be released in a few days. We are assessing the current situation of stockpiled weapons and such. In other news, we've closed both tester applications and staff reinstatements. Both are now being reviewed and we thank everyone who's applied, the results will be revealed by the end of the month. We want to make sure that come release, we're equipped to handle supporting both servers. This and much more was premiered today on Discord during our Community Meeting. Join our Discord community to stay at the forefront of breaking news and updates from your friendly neighborhood roleplay server. Love, Martin

  3. Hi everyone, yes I'm back, how exciting. Before diving into the obvious purpose of this post, let me briefly touch on what I'll be focusing on in my new role. The leadership team has brought me on board as Head of Project to provide strategic direction to LS-RP, both for our RageMP server and the upcoming relaunch of our SA-MP server. I’m already knee-deep in planning on a variety of topics and can't wait to start putting things into action. During my previous tenure I was heavily involved in Communications, often leading our community meetings; and I'll be picking these up again. I also played a key role in revising how our systems enhance the player experience, such as the changes to Company schemes, pushing for the introduction of the /startshift feature, and all sorts of background calculations to ensure that businesses were well-supported. Ultimately I was only providing advisory support back then; but this time I'm in the leadership team and able to really keep things moving in a positive direction. Moving forward, I will be determining our development roadmap priorities and working closely with all sub-teams to ensure that our systems, schemes, and overall server management deliver the best possible experience. I’m open to making necessary adjustments; whether it's tweaking features, overhauling systems, or revamping schemes to ensure everything works better for everyone. But enough about me - this is about you. Entirely about you, in fact. I’m brimming with ideas, but your input is invaluable and will help to shape our direction. That’s why I’m inviting you to spend about 10 minutes to fill out a survey. Your feedback is crucial, and to make it worth your while, three lucky random participants will win a £20 Amazon voucher (or the equivalent in your local currency). So please, share your thoughts with me. Here's the link to the survey. Whether you play actively right now, started to play and then left, or are completely new to the community, your input would be much appreciated. Let's make LS-RP the best it can be.

  4. Hello, Today we bring you yet another game update which includes two new features: nails and pointing. It also addresses a few inconsistencies and bugs, the whole changelog is below. [Game Update 1.9.4] - Added /nails - Added pointing system (B) - Added /vest to toggle body armor / vest - Removed default stance after shooting a weapon or fistfighting - Removed collision detection for cinematic camera In other exciting news, so far it looks like we're on track to release 2.0 next week. This update will include Blackjack, Burglary system, and some other heavy hitters like IG Social media. For the SA-MP crowd, we've also been hard at work getting everything set up for the release of the SA-MP server. Work has begun on process, reinstating staff members to provide support to players on the server, and some of the initial necessary UCP changes. If you're interested in what's going on, make sure to join our Discord server at discord.gg/ls-rp, where we'll be hosting another community meeting soon to keep you update on our progress with both SA-MP and RageMP. 5. Hey everyone, I'm happy to announce that we've relaunched faceinvader.net, our LS-RP:V (RageMP Universe) In Character social media website. Currently it's available to access through your browser, but as of 2.0 which is coming later this week, you'll be able to access it in-game as well. Please have a look at the faceinvader rules before making an account. @badhbh has been appointed as the Head of our IGSM Team and will be responsible for running the moderation team on the sites. The site offers variety of features besides making friends and posts. It allows you to post events, sell items on a market place, post and search for job offerings and much more. Explore it yourself and have fun. We're in the process of setting up an equivalent IC social media site for our returning SA-MP server as well. For news about that and more SA-MP related topics, please tune in to our Community Meeting held on Discord this Sunday, 9 PM Server-Time (CEST). As with any new service, please allow us some time to finetune the site and work out the bits and pieces. Preview of how faceinvader looks like in-game (2.0) Example of a job offer on faceinvader Kind regards, Martin

  8. Hello all, As many of you have already been aware, the staff team has being going through a major restructure recently and in light of that badhbh, Spanion and I have been appointed as Illegal Faction Team Council. We want to be entirely transparent so we're going to explain what has went on in the background, how illegal factions will work between V and SA-MP & the available schemes for both servers. We've been putting in a lot of work behind the scenes for the upcoming SA-MP server release. With a strong team backing us, we're ready to provide even more support for illegal factions across both servers. Our forum section is all set to go and will be up shortly, allowing people to create their faction threads and apply for schemes before the server launches. We've completely overhauled schemes on both platforms to better meet faction needs, based on feedback from faction leaders. Our aim is to offer as much support as possible for both existing and new factions. While we expect many questions about management across both platforms, we want to assure you that we have a dedicated team constantly working on improvements. We're actively engaging in discussions with illegal faction leaders and members to provide the best support we can. Official Faction Reinstatements We have decided to allow factions that were official within 1 year of the SA-MP server's closure to re-apply for their official status. We will be offering schemes to factions, but will be discussed amongst the illegal faction team council on a case-by-case basis. If your faction meets the criteria below, please feel free to fill out an application, and send it to @Helius on behalf of the Illegal Faction Team Council. You can find the application format here. Illegal Faction Team Applications We have reached out on Discord for people that are willing to support the illegal faction team to provide support for factions, liase with faction leadership and partake in active discussions regarding upcoming changes or additions to factions. You can find out more here. We have decided to bring back the public faction team which will allow players to partake in discussions regarding upcoming changes and additions and generally support the faction team to grow and develop further. More information about the public team can be found here. Schemes Schemes have been reviewed in SA-MP, and we've decided to keep the same amount of weapons and drugs for official factions. @Spanionhas estimated and rounded off the amounts that will be given to unofficial faction scheme holders and solo scheme holders. Applications have been opened for official faction applications prior to the release of SA-MP. As for new emerging faction (and old) which didn't hold official status, we'll be opening up the faction schemes and turf map requests a couple weeks post launch of SA-MP, and we will announce when members can apply for the solo related schemes. In terms of how it'll work in-game for faction schemes and solo schemes, our members in the FTC will be passing the allowed amount to the faction leaders per month or bi-weekly if requested, although either option will still amount to the same overall throughout the month. The amount of drugs you will receive will be limited, mainly for the fact that we'd like to focus on giving factions two drugs of their choice. If they require other drugs, they should have the initiative to roleplay with other factions and purchase whatever they require. This way, we hope more factions get extra roleplay as well as interacting with each other in a realistic manner. This will also be the case for solo scheme holders in SAMP. If accepted, you simply need to reach out to FTC and collect your monthly or bi-weekly drop from them every month.

  9. Hello all, As many of you have already been aware, the staff team has being going through a major restructure recently and in light of that @Helius, @Spanion and I have been appointed as Illegal Faction Team Council. We understand that there was a massive lack of communication across the board from within the team and we do apologise to everyone, we will be trying our absoulte best to get illegal factions to the state we're aiming for. It's important to note that your guys' feedback means a lot to us, and we're all ears. We're working as much as we can in the background, predominantly focusing on the current schemes that are in place as well as the illegal factions rules of engagement. Schemes We understand that our past schemes fell short of the rapid-changing environment of the community and we acknowledge the frustration caused by delays and the lack of responsiveness. Moving forward, the Illegal Factions Council is committed to make significant improvements in this direction in order to streamline the process of players and factions alike obtaining schemes or having their request met in a timely manner. Furthermore, we are working hard on creating open communication channels that will help us prioritize player feedback, because your ideas and concerns are crucial in shaping the direction in which illegal roleplay is heading. We really want to focus on bringing in new illegal factions, and to help that we will be creating a faction starter package which has various different perks, depending on what type of faction that it is. More on this will be released shortly. As for the current status of the schemes, please note that everybody was kicked out of the schemes they were holding in the present. This was done in order for us to be able to review how the schemes work and improve what we can improve. Applications for schemes will be re-open shortly to allow for everybody to have a chance. Rules of Engagement What's in the works? As previously mentioned, we are currently reviewing the way schemes work and how they are granted to players/factions. Along with that, it has been brought to our attention that the Rules of Engagement as they are at the moment are not up-to standard with the current state of illegal roleplay and they are in need of a refresh. We will be reaching out individually to faction leaders & players alike in regards to what they would like to see changed or added to the ROEs in order to bring it up to speed Illegal Faction Team Public We have removed everyone from the public faction team as it didn't seem like there was much purpose in having it, but we're changing that at the moment. We're opening recruitment again and are welcome new faces and ideas. As part of the team you are expected to give a valid and unbiased input/judgment on every matter regardless of association. Always put yourself as a neutral party, not a faction member, not a faction leader. If you feel like you are unable to do so, please refrain from participating in the discussion. If you are involved in the conflict in-game do not present and handle faction matters yourself as a faction team members unless there are prior instruction from the faction team (ceasefire, etc). We don't have a specific application so if you're interested please forum message the Illegal Faction Team Council.

  10. Hello fellow roleplayers, I know it's been a while since the last update and I'm partly to blame for that (well, I'm not, but we'll say I am) but here we are with another major update! This update will release later today once we overcome the last hurdle (we added too many cars and now pdm.com doesn't work for the 'Sports' category, oops), meaning it's not live yet! This update focuses on things to spend your money on, which we have decided is going to be more cars and real estate. Here is the full changelog: - Adds second hand car dealership business type that can spawn 10 cars at a time - Adds ability for premium players to spawn 2 cars at once - Adds ability to buy properties as a player, company, or faction - Adds ability to rent properties as a company or faction - Adds ability to transfer properties between players - Adds ability to change phone wallpaper and lock screen background independently - Adds key bind (default: F6) to posiiton yourself whilst using an animation - Adds /toglevel to combine playtime across all characters - Adds /hairtie and selecting up to 3 hair styles at a barber - Adds /status to automatically display a /ame when a player gets within 30m - Adds Fire Department dispatch system beginnings - Adds admin/tester duty restoring after reconnecting - Adds /deletegps to delete a GPS entry - Adds /home as an alias for /gps home - Adds /helo for Maverick helicopters - Adds character name tracking to licence grants/revocations - Adds facial expressions to action wheel - Adds /modshop for non-government faction and company vehicles - Adds admin command to disable an interior's default music - Adds formatting to weapon licence page on MDC when a licence is expired - Adds new cars to pdm.com - Fixes /mic inside company properties - Fixes being unable to move non-money pack items out of cash convoy vehicles - Fixes impound state loading for company/faction vehicles - Fixes cash packs not being removed from cash convoy vehicles on restart - Fixes /examine - Fixes setting a waypoint showing the wrong name in the notification How will house prices work? House prices have been automatically calculated based on their type and tier. These will no doubt be manually adjusted, but for now, the house pricing model is as follows: Apartments, trailers and garages will be set to a buy price multiplier of 12 x 3 of their current rent price. What this means in real terms is: Apartment costs $500 to rent $500 x 12 x 3 = $18,000 to buy Apartment costs $1500 to rent $1500 x 12 x 3 = $54,000 to buy Up to $2000, which we consider a higher tier of property. These prices are double this multiplier. Apartment costs $2000 to rent $2000 x 12 x 3 x 2 = $120,000 to buy Houses are double whatever the apartment multiplier is for that tier, so a house that costs $500 to rent would be $36,000 to buy, a house that costs $2000 to rent would be $240,000 to buy, etc. Companies and factions can also buy these properties, so a company could buy up an apartment in Davis to use as a company headquarters, for example. Companies have a 33% increase on prices however, and factions a 66% increase on prices. A $18,000 apartment bought by a company would cost $24,000, for example, and $30,000 for a faction to buy it. Note that at the moment, only legal factions have bank accounts. Illegal factions will need to create a company to act as a front, but this comes with the benefit of it being 33% cheaper. Note that, yes, you can buy a house as a player for the cheapest rates and use it as a company building. This will soon be illegal in character and will be considered tax evasion, so if you do go this route, make sure you cover your tracks properly! Government code enforcement officers are always watching. How will second hand car dealerships work? For now, while we work on a proper display system, this will be a permission granted by a car dealership company to a player to spawn up to 10 vehicles. The player will have to make the sale, and the player will have to use /transfervehicle to sell these cars. I do have plans in the works to be able to set cars into 'display mode', where you cannot turn the engine on and can /buy similar to other existing car dealerships, but for now these second hand dealerships will be entirely player-managed. This means that they will fall under the robbing and scamming rules until full script support is in place. Social Media You may have seen some of our promotions recently on YouTube, TikTok or Instagram. If not, I encourage you to check us out! Our socials can be seen in #socials on Discord. 11. Greetings LS-RP'rs, Here's a summary of our February adventure but more importantly information on what lies ahead. So, let's get started with what everybody's been eagerly waiting for - the dev update! DEV UPDATE We're currently in the final phase of testing for LS-RP v1.9 and on the brink of LS-RP v2.0. Although there is no launch date yet, we anticipate it happening very soon! Version 1.9 is an ambitious undertaking where we're implementing several highly requested features, including the ability to purchase properties. Property owners will have the option to set them out for rent and adjust rent based on the tenant's affiliation, such as faction or company. Additionally, we are working on several quality of life updates, such as the ability to have multiple hairstyles (/hairtie) and /modshop for non-government faction vehicles. For more information, please refer to our dev roadmap >> here <<! EVENTS UPDATE It's been another busy month for the Events Team, as we've been operating at full throttle since the beginning of February and haven't slowed down. Despite February being the shortest month, we managed to host more events than ever before! We've continued our successful formula of collaborating with factions to ensure events are not only enjoyable out-of-character but also serve as a tool for in-character character progression. We understand that while this approach may not have been particularly effective for all character types, we are constantly striving to diversify events to be inclusive and enjoyable for everyone. We're also aware of the community's demand for illegal events. If anyone is interested in setting these up and needs our assistance with anything, please feel free to reach out to us. We'll be more than happy to help you make it work. Here's a list of events that we organised in the month of February, Midnight BBQ party (in collaboration with Hell Runners MC) Redwood Lights Motocross Rally (in collaboration with SAGOV) Vespucci Beach Jet Ski race (in collaboration with SAGOV) Presidents Day (in collaboration with SAGOV) Los Santos Business Expo (in collaboration with SAGOV) Drift King (in collaboration with SAGOV) COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT TEAM The Community Engagement Team has undergone a few changes this month. Currently, the team is led by @Deceive, with @CChef serving as the Assistant Head. We understand that marketing has been under scrutiny for a while, and rightfully so. In this update, we won't delve too much into future plans, as we believe that it's time for action rather than just talk. Instead, here are a few things we've worked on this month: We are aware of the numerous suggestions that the community has put forward, including e-mail campaigns/newsletters, rebranding etc. Some suggestions may not come to fruition, and others will require time to implement, while some changes may be noticeable immediately. To utilize our time and resources efficiently, we will prioritize strategies that can be implemented independently and swiftly. For instance, focusing on social media accounts and advertising on social media was given higher priority over weekly newsletters as the latter required a dedicated personnel from the dev team to set up the infrastructure. However, we will continue to work on implementing the infrastructure and getting the show on the road while ensuring that ongoing projects do not come to a halt. How can we join Community Engagement Team? MAPPING TEAM UPDATE First and foremost, the mapping team leadership has recently changed, laying the foundation for new mapping opportunities, projects and processes. The new leadership will prioritize projects based on server interest, revitalize the mapping request process, and commit to growing our team. The team as a whole, especially Caledonite, would like to express the deepest and sincerest gratitude to Sparkles and kaibr for their tireless efforts and overall everything they contributed to both the team and the server as whole. We hope to see them both back someday. Our new mapping team leadership will consist of @Caledonite as the mapping team leader, and @MAK0 as the assistant mapping team leader. One of our main priorities is going to be getting apartment complexes furnished, including /bareswitch-able units. Eventually every apartment complex will retire the default apartment complex interior. More information is to come in the future. We will also be focusing on government interiors, getting them shaped up from the last time they had any type of furnishing started. Some of these were left as unfinished projects, but we will be revisiting these and getting them mapped as well. We are also looking for any new mappers to join the team! This is a great opportunity to show your creativity off. If any community or staff member wants to showcase any mapping examples they have through furnishing or any other type of mapping method, or if you have any questions about the mapping team, please feel free to contact Caledonite and MAK0 about it. We will answer any type of question or inquiry to the best of our ability. STAFF UPDATE Congratulations to our newly promoted staff members! Senior Admin bobster Izumi Game Admin Helius Trainee Admin ScubaStef Finally, we'd like to conclude this month's update thanking everybody once again for sticking with us through thick and thin. We understand that the journey hasn't been an easy one but we will make sure that it will be a fulfilling one.
