  2. I think currently GTAW finds itself in the shoes LSRP were once in. By that I mean that they have a monopoly over the genre simply because there is no alternative, similarly to our community on SA:MP. Players stuck around because there was nowhere else to go. On GTAW what you've got is a server and community tailored around legal roleplayers, ran by legal roleplayers and heavily influenced by legal roleplayers. One sticking point that comes up time and time again is their IFM's lack of engagement, transparency and knowledge and this is the driving force behind the bulk of our roleplayers leaving their server. Now, a lot of people use this a basis to promote their roleplay but the fact of the matter is that it's the truth, their lack of regard for their illegal community is what will offer LSRP a way in. Over the course of the last few months it's been more evident than ever and their management's obliviousness to the fact is what adds insult to injury. For this server to hit the ground running what you have to do is capitalize on the shortcomings of the aforementioned server and strike while the iron's hot. Transparency will be a key factor in attracting these players. Deliverance will be what keeps them and the expectations and promises need to be fulfilled in order for this to come to fruition at all. Illegal roleplay shouldn't be prioritized by any means but it should be treated with the same amount of respect as legal roleplay and given the same opportunity of prosperity. Illegal roleplay has always been the foundation of LSRP but what made LSRP so consistent was its honesty, its openness and its lucidity. Transparency was always there one way or another. One look at their faction's forum and you realize that their faction management team are driving people into LSRP's arms and for years it's gone unnoticed and unaddressed because their has been no alternative. You can forget about servers like LCRP making a wave because they're not battled tested like LSRP is and don't have the following LSRP do, coupled with the fact that their management are as corrupt as the day is long. All these make-shift beliefs and idealisms are used to lure people in but it's nothing more than a false pretense and a power grab. In other words, in certain communities if you don't agree with somebody's modus operandi, they will find a way to ban you, silence you or misinterpret you. On LSRP I believe that the number one priority should be to put the power in the player's hands. For this to overtake its competitors and scratch the surface it's got to recognize the flaws of communities that don't work. LSRP is genuinely the last hope for those interested in illegal roleplay. We need to do as much as we can to emphasize that and promote the fact that the community and management are receptive to that or we're back to square one. It's in all of our interests if we're on the same wave length. All old community politics should be disregarded and the slate should be wiped clean. This will only work if we're all on the same page. Make LSRP great again.

  3. Hi all, As most of you are aware, the Faction Team has been working hard on establishing the core illegal script systems along with guidelines and rules surrounding illegal roleplay. This blog post will provide an update on what the Faction Team has been working on, along with how the illegal roleplay scene will play out when we launch the server. Faction Tier System The Faction Team has re-developed the faction tier system and this will provide factions with specific perks and rewards as they move through the tiers towards official. A lot of brainstorming has gone into this system and is based off issues we encountered during the SA-MP server. Unofficial (eligible to apply for any scheme after 1 month of being open) Verified (attained after being open for 3 months and having a successful application) Official (determined after a minimum of 3 months whilst being Verified) Drug Scheme The Faction Team has decided on taking a completely new approach to the Drug System/Scheme and have suggested that instead of giving drugs directly to the players, we will provide them with both the utilities and ingredients needed to manufacture the drugs. Players can still receive drugs from Faction Team in cases that certain drugs aren't able to be manufactured currently. You may apply to join the Drug Scheme once you have been open for 1 month. Weapon Scheme Unofficial Factions will be able to apply to the Weapon Scheme after 1 month of being open - applicants will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed admittance into the scheme. The amount of weapons and ammo given is something exclusive to members of the scheme and is based on faction size and status (unofficial, verified or official). The 1 month period will begin from the day the server launches and having a faction thread for more than a month pre-launch doesn't make you eligible. Join a Scheme Pre-Launch In order to have an effective drug and weapon system in place from day 1 on the server. We're looking to introduce some members to these schemes pre-launch. This means you won't have to wait the original month (stated above) but you'll be required to have exceptional illegal roleplay experience and a good-standing history in the community to reserve yourself a spot. Requirements for the pre-launch scheme: Only factions will be able to apply. You must have a minimum of 10 faction members. Must be the leader of the faction that is applying. Must have experience in/around illegal factions. Must have a good standing in the community The Weapon & Drug Scheme will be open for applications from the time of this blog post (22nd January 2022). Applications will close on the 24th February 2022. You can apply to join the pre-launch scheme by following this link. Thanks for reading, Baker

  10. This actually came up in the stream last night - it doesn't look likely that the "use two characters to combine their skin tones" option is going to be there at launch, but given that it was brought up twice by people watching (ok I was one of them teehee) it's something Mmartin said he'll think about. I suppose the main point on this one is that certain other servers do offer this, and character creation is going to be one of the first thing that potentially migrating players will do. Having less options than what they're used to isn't ideal. However with that being said, I'm no coder and I get that any major changes to features like this could cause problems and delays, which nobody wants. All I know is that Mmartin is listening to people and their ideas (refreshing), and although not everything can be accommodated, he and the team are gonna do what they can to make folks happy.

  12. Setting up a Discord for a community, where members of Rollin 20s, MS13, local civilian/cop RPers, and other future gangs can migrate into a single Discord. It has just been made, but if you wish to RP around South LS I recommend that you join it! https://discord.gg/Zej6bKgwyW Made it here so more people see for now, once SS&VIDEOS open up a community thread will be made.

  13. I agree, the mega mall will hardly be used ever and it takes up a big chunk of space. Might aswell replace it with something useful.

  15. FiveM is more unoptimized then Rage BTW. I think Rage will be fine. I've played many fiveM servers and I can most definitely say Rage has better optimization.

  16. Definitely needed, I can tell the mega mall will just end up a mallrat central with supercars, there's a reason why servers are often replacing it with mapping. Majority of the people disagreeing are people who don't even roleplay in gangs. I wanna see gang rpers only have a for say in this. GTA V It's self doesn't even have that many hoods to roleplay off of, so replacing the megamall and giving an extra one would be nice. EDIT: Adding onto that, for people saying it's gonna kill FPS I doubt it will. Everyone on GTA V at this point has a gaming PC lol. It's GTA V, you need a graphics card to play it. I've seen GPU's like the GT 1030 handle it so I think you guys will be fine lol.
