  1. We'd like to start this month's community announcement with the following message from Mmartin: Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing well so far in the new year. I'd like to address the plans we have coming up for LS-RP in the very near future. The more keen-eyed among you have probably spotted a "February 2026" card at the end of our last LS-RP RAGE Return teaser. I'm happy to say confirm that after months of hard work by our dev team (huge shout-out to danut and n0de101 who led the RAGE development), we're crossing our t's and dotting our i's to be fully ready to re-open. This comes at a convenient time, as as of today we're shutting the SA-MP server down. I'm thrilled by having had the opportunity to relive the days past and taking SA-MP for one more ride. We've developed dozens of new features that we could only dream of back in SA-MP's heyday, and the run SA-MP had was much longer (also more fun, and at times more challenging) than we initially anticipated. So all in all I'm happy to call the re-run a success, and can't wait for you to see what we've been cooking up on the RAGE front. While we have a rough date to open doors (ports?) internally, we still have some last bridges to cross before feeling confident committing to and sharing a concrete date. It's this month however, so expect more information on dates, features and factions very soon. We'd also like to give a massive shout out to our media team and RAGE Insiders who've made the effort to showcase and highlight some of the server's legal factions in the most recent teaser for RAGE: Commerce & Estate Team In preparation for RAGE, there's been some changes to C&E and how it works/operates. Much of these changes are in the back-end, and not something we necessarily need to bore you with however, by simplifying the structure of the team into two main teams we can streamline the current processes that our team has to go through. Based on recent feedback, all teams including ourselves have agreed to ensure all applications are reviewed within 72 hours to ensure none of our players are waiting on approval for extended periods of time. Commerce Team: Manages business-related tasks, including leases, company perks (vehicles, mapping), and entrepreneurial applications. Head of Commerce Team — danut, Assistant Head of Commerce Team — Slice Estate Team: Oversees player-owned residential properties, complexes, and market pricing adjustments to match the server economy. Head of Estate Team — Caledonite, Assistant Head of Estate Team — DadoJ Keep an eye out on the forums in the coming days and weeks for more information on how you can request properties and companies prior to the server's launch. We aim to ensure that everyone's ready to hit the ground running once the server is live. Illegal Faction Team We'd like to start by acknowledging some changes to the team, as we've recently had @Spanion return to the staff team and reclaim his Illegal Faction Council role. Spanion spent a considerable amount of time supporting the Illegal Faction Team & Council around the SAMP launch and has been helping us get the team prepared for the launch of RAGE. @Conor has also been placed into the role of Illegal Faction Council, his experience in illegal street-gang roleplay, and passion for providing players with a positive, immersive experience has been of great help as we work with our development team on new exciting features for RAGE, which you may have seen in our recent promotional material - a project which @Conor has taken on and worked extremely hard on alongside our RAGE Insiders team. As the launch date for RAGE rapidly approaches, the Illegal Faction Team & Council have been very busy ensuring a smooth transition into the next stage of LS-RP for all existing factions interested in setting up shop on our RAGE server. We've also been preparing a process for returning factions, and factions from outside the community who wish to join us on LS-RP:V. We're excited to announce that we're now ready for faction leaders across the board to apply for Verified in the run up to launch. There are some eligibility criteria that must be met, and not everyone will be granted this upon launch. If you're unsure about the RAGE faction advancement structure, we recommend checking this thread. If you'd like to apply for Verified status, we ask that you submit the following application to the Illegal Faction Council for review. As the official launch date has not been released or decided, it may take some time for applications to be reviewed and approved. We don't want to get anyone excited prematurely, but by submitting your application early you'll ensure you've reserved your spot as a Verified faction for launch as we won't be giving it to every applicant. Official SAMP factions will also have the opportunity to join RAGE in an Official Faction capacity - there are also some eligibility criteria that must be met, however the Illegal Faction Council will be reaching out to these factions individually. We've also been receiving a lot of feedback about the Rules of Engagement from both players and staff regarding the length and complexity of the Rules of Engagement. We've spent some time condensing and simplifying the information, and have released a Rules of Engagement (Simplified) thread. There has been a couple of changes to ROE for the RAGE launch, most importantly this is the change to weapon restrictions (one assault rifle instead of two per attack) and the fact that robberies will now be classed as a faction attack and subject to a 6 hour cool-down. This is still a work in progress as we approach relaunch, but we encourage all faction leaders and their members to ensure they've read this thread to be up to date on the ROE for RAGE. Finally, we're excited to announce the applications for the Illegal Faction Team are now open! If you'd like to provide your input and work as part of a team to support the illegal roleplay community, we recommend submitting an application. And, as always if there's any queries or concerns you'd like to discuss with the Illegal Faction Team/Council, our discord has a ticket bot to allow you to easily communicate your ideas with us - Discord Invite! 2. Hi everyone, November is done and we're heading into the most wonderful time of the year! The last community update of 2025 is here, and we can't believe how fast this year has flown by. It feels like 2025 has happened in a flash! It might feel a little early to be saying this, but a Happy Christmas to those celebrating. Without further ado, here's our December Community Update: Development Team SA-MP Update (/startshift): A new system is here to let you earn money working shifts at businesses across the city, rewarding you for your roleplay in both player-owned and server-owned businesses. It'll be added to the server upon server restart within the next day/two however in preparation, here’s a quick guide on how it works: Player-Owned Businesses: If a player owns the business, only they (or high-ranking employees) can manage who works there. You must be an employee of the business and the business owner/manager must grant you the "Start Shift" permission. Once you have permission, go inside the business and type /startshift to begin earning! Once you're done and want to clock out, you can /leaveshift. If you decide to leave the premises of your workplace, you'll be automatically removed from the shift after 5 minutes. For Business Owners: You cannot use /startshift at your own business. This system is for your employees to use. Use /setshift to set the hourly pay and the maximum number of people who can work simultaneously (the "limit"). You can grant or revoke the "Start Shift" permission for any employee if you have the Modify Powers rank/permission. Be aware that the funds to pay your staff gets taken from your business cash-box, keep this topped up or risk some unhappy staff members! Server-Owned Businesses: These are businesses that the server owns (e.g., they have no character owner). If the server has enabled shifts for the business, you can use /startshift inside the building to begin working! If you decide to leave the premises of your workplace, you'll be automatically removed from the shift after 5 minutes. It'll take us a little time once the update is live to manually set each individual server-owned business to be used for /startshift. Keep an eye out on the forums and Discord for more updates on what areas have been handled; if there's a server-owned business that you'd like to make sure is added quickly, please reach out to a member of Commerce & Estate team with the business ID to speed things up. Illegal Faction Team It's been a relatively quiet month for the Illegal Faction Team, however as we go into the holiday period and the server slows down a little we want to continue to make sure we are still constantly providing whatever the server needs to maintain activity. As of late, there's been an increased interest in prison roleplay which we're always excited to see. As a response, we've opened our Prison Scheme & would like to remind anyone who wishes to roleplay long-term prison or parole to reach out to us for support if you'd like to be set up OOCly with either parole/prison time. We recommend anyone interested in getting involved to check out the forum threads for the White Car/Sureno Car and Black Car. We still have plenty of schemes available for both factions and solo players so if you do believe you or your faction might be a good fit for these please submit your application, or reach out the Illegal Faction Team with any queries you may have. We've been working alongside the development team, as usual to brainstorm ideas for future features and we're hoping to continue these discussions into December. As always if you have an idea that you would like to bring forward for possible implementation, please reach out to one of the members of Faction Team Council to assist with a discussion. We're also relaunching our furnishing competition, which was a great success last run. If you're interested in participating again - or for the first time - take a look at the thread and hit us up with your application! Once again, the winner will be awarded 2,000 UCP credits along with runner-up and participation rewards. Your application must be in by 7th December to be in with a chance at winning! With holiday season underway, even if you don’t celebrate it, The Illegal Faction Team hope you enjoy the month of December with your loved ones, friends and family. Remember to keep an eye out for our Illegal Faction Newsletter within the next week for a more detailed overview of the work going on behind the scenes to support the illegal roleplay community. Staff Update Here are some of October's Key Metrics: There were a total of 1497 reports handled There were a total of 1161 help requests handled There were a total of 266 character applications handled Congratulations to our newly promoted staff members ... 3. Hi everyone, With September over and autumn slowly creeping up on us it's hard to believe that the year is nearing an end. This month we released the first (of many) Illegal Faction Newsletter which includes a wealth of information, and of course Faction of the Month. If you haven't seen it already, check it out.! Here's our October Community Update: Illegal Faction Team Another great month in terms of progress for the Illegal Faction Team. We've introduced another official faction, The Marat Gusarov Brigade. They've been providing high quality Eurasian organised crime roleplay to the server for quite a while now. If you haven't already go and visit their thread and congratulate them on becoming official! Verona Shoreline Crips, a faction which is ran and operated by seasoned gang roleplayers have taken the next step and are now official faction candidates. Look out for this faction as they're taking the gang scene by storm! Over the last month we've been incredibly busy, we've brainstormed ideas on how to improve our faction properties and the quality of them. We recently announced a furnishing competition. This competition aims to assist in the furnishing of faction team properties (which any eligible faction can apply for) whilst also rewarding furnishers of the community by competing against one another for UCP Credit prizes! The winner will be announced next month once all entrants have completed their work, and the voting process is complete. We've also been receiving and noticing an increase of reports regarding behaviour on MyFace which we'll be adding some clarity to our Rules of Engagement to cover. Keep an eye out for the upcoming Illegal Faction Team Update blog post, for more information on what we've been up to and what's coming! We'd like to add that in our recent monthly Illegal Faction Team meeting, we also discussed the lack of existing procedures/policies in place for the relaunch of our RAGE Multiplayer server. (We said the R word! 😱) One of the great things about having a such a dedicated and widely experienced Illegal Faction Team is that we're able to receive feedback from all walks of the community. We're aware discussing our RAGE Multiplayer server is not everyone's cup of tea, and if this is you, we'd like to reassure you that SA-MP will remain the focus of the Illegal Faction Team just as it has since we returned. We are however ensuring that when the RAGE Multiplayer server is ready to go, so are we. If you'd like to get involved in discussions surrounding the illegal roleplay scene on either, or both servers please reach out to the Illegal Faction Council with your interest. Once again, we have plenty of schemes available to apply for, and we're excited to continue our work with our Development Team to come up with updates for SA-MP. If you think you have something to bring to the table, that would benefit the illegal scene don't be afraid to reach out to @Aloosh@Rye or @unlawfulact. Staff Update Here are some of September's Key Metrics: There were a total of 2377 reports handled There were a total of 2297 help requests handled There were a total of 338 character applications handled We saw a large number of applications come through for Tester and after long deliberations between the leadership team, we want to share a massive congratulations to our new testers! 4. Hi everyone, July has escaped us all! As summer winds down, we're excited to share updates regarding what has been happening across the community. Ranging from Illegal Faction Team updates to our Staff Update. If you haven't already checked out our Content Creator Spotlight I'd recommend you do so, this also provides instructions on how to apply and insights regarding perks you can get whilst being a content creator. A brief note from @Mmartin: Over the past few weeks, there's been a focus on making adjustments in our server management to allow for a more decentralized, self-sustainable and efficient structure. A couple of weeks ago, we opened LOIs for Lead Admin positions, and as a result there's been quite a few recent promotions and a great deal of progression within the staff team. I'd like to share the changes to our management structure; @badhbh is taking on the Head of Operations (HOO) role; she knows that side of the server inside and out and I've no doubt that she's a great choice and will do well to ensure the teams that fall under Ops run smoothly. This will require her stepping away from the day to day of Legal/Illegal faction management however with the help of our newly promoted staff members, these teams have not been left unattended. She will also be supported by @Lemon as Assistant Head of Operations. @bobster is taking on the Head of Staff (HOS) role; bobster has been leading the admin team for quite some time now and has done an excellent job with it, so once again I'm fully confident in this choice. Due to this change, it opened open the position of Head of Admins, which has since been filled by @risen and as a result Head of Testers has been filled by @celestine. I'd like to thank all involved in the management of our staff team for the immense effort and dedication each one of you have shown so far. We've also taken on three new (and returning) members to the development team as of late. It's great to see that we've so many passionate staff members, and I'm excited to see what the future holds. There's still further changes to be made, and positions to open up which will be discussed/announced in due course. Without further ado, our August Community Update: Illegal Faction Team July has been an extremely productive month for the Illegal Faction Team. Over the course of the month the Illegal Faction Team has been working side by side with server developers, coming up with ideas on how to increase the level of roleplay surrounding illegal factions, from clothing items to new scripts. Look out for these in our current and upcoming updates! If these discussions are something that interest you make sure to either reach out to @Kev for Illegal Faction Team Public queries or keep your eyes peeled for Illegal Faction Team recruitment openings. We would like to congratulate @badhbh on her recent promotion. She has held down Illegal Faction Council for some time now, and with her recent promotion, will be taking a step back from IFC. With this change came an opening in the Illegal Faction Council. We would like to thank every applicant who sent in a LOI for the position. It's great to see how many people are motivated to lead and encourage changes around the illegal scene on the server. Ultimately, despite there being serious competition with the applicants, we would like to congratulate @Rye on becoming the newest addition to IFC. We look forward to seeing his contributions to the team. Rye has been an active and dedicated member of the Illegal Faction Team, and his promotion to Illegal Faction Council is very well deserved. We would also like to congratulate a faction that over the last few months has been generating nothing but terrific roleplay. Following their recent application to join the ranks of Official Faction Candidates, alongside Harlows, we would like to congratulate The Marat Gusarov Brigade on becoming an Official Candidate. We're excited to see the new heights you reach with the support of your faction handler. We'd also like to welcome @LaMarcus_Boone and @meri to the Illegal Faction Team. Company Team We have been busy making important updates to the company system! One of the main aspects that we have been working on is the economy between companies and the wider community. Company assets now have real value, where companies can now sell assets to eachother, and when a company closes down, it's assets are now liquidated, allowing other companies (and soon everyone else) to have the ability to purchase these liquidated assets on auction. We have also seen a massive uptick in company applications lately, hitting a record high for this year! Along with this, we have also noticed the activity of current companies increasing across the board! Things are going really well, and we thank everyone who is putting in so much to bring opportunities to players through their companies. If you're interested in applying for a company, you can find out more information here. Staff Update Here are some of July's Key Metrics: There were a total of 2691 reports handled There were a total of 3646 help requests handled There were a total of 389 character applications handled Congratulations to our newly promoted staff members ... 5. Hey all, I hope the start of the spring term is bringing out everyone's good moods now we're coming out of the gloomy rainy weather. We've got quite a bit to get through for this update, so stick around and have a good read through. First and foremost I'd like to share some positive stats; our SA-MP server has been doing very well in the last few months which can also be seen in the time spent in-game and the average peaks we reach every day. Just for comparison, here's two graphs showing the total playtime and peaks evolving over the last ~3 months: Happy to see it! I'll say the vibes both in-game and within the community just feel much more healthy and positive than they did come end of last year. I've to say I'm happy with where the community is headed in general. Private Skins Last week we launched a long-requested and anticipated premium feature: Private Skins. You can now upload your own skin mod (.dff and .txd) to use on the SA-MP server. Everyone will see your skin in-game! To request a Private Skin, head over to the UCP > Premium Central > Private Skins. We implemented a strict approval process to make sure silly skins don't get in-game (you MAY see me in a Mr. Bean skin on admin duty, sorry immersion frogs). We will only approve skins that are appropriate and do not break any server rules. We also intend on this being an exclusive feature, since we don't want everyone on the server having to download hundreds of unused private skins when they log in. You can read the Private Skin Rules here. Illegal Faction Team Update We'd like to start be announcing the return of The Bellantonio Crime Family as an official faction once again. Some of you may be aware that Bellantonio have had their fair share of issues in the past, however they've worked tirelessly to produce high quality roleplay for the server ever since. Following several months of candidacy, we're happy to announce their return - Welcome back! 🦊🍷 Further to this, to shed some light on a recent post which had an effect on Official Factions in general. Stockpiling has become quite a serious issue which the Illegal Faction Council are taking steps to resolve. This month, Official Factions were subject to an In-Character event which has been implemented in collaboration with PD & SD leadership in order to provide roleplay for everyone involved rather than implementing these restrictions as an OOC measure. Moving forward, Official Factions (and scheme holders) will be subject to limited amounts of weapons through their warehouses and schemes. We understand almost everyone, including the general playerbase, has incredible stashes from pre-closure of SAMP however this has been compounded by the fact that warehouses are still available to Official Factions, leading to these stashes growing instead of depleting over recent months. Moving forward, warehouse access and logs will be under scrutiny from the Illegal Faction Council as we hope to achieve some reduction in stockpiling, and improve the flow of guns throughout the server. Following feedback from our Illegal Faction Team, we're also working on increasing the weapon price agreement. Right now, weapons are being bought at very low profit margins and sold on by the buyers for ludacris prices. The increase in the weapon agreement only applies to Official Faction & Scheme Holders to allow them to reap actual benefit from the sale of weapons. This is subject to review/change and will be closely monitored and enforced by the Illegal Faction Team & Council. This will be announced once the figures are finalised. Schemes: Illegal Faction Team have been working hard on a number of things throughout this month. In December-January, a number of schemes were put on the back-burner as adjustments were required before they could reopen. Drug Scheme, Strawman Scheme, Melee Scheme and Turf Requests have all been assigned a new 'Head of' each respective scheme. Drug Scheme and Strawman for both faction and solo roleplayers have opened this month, and accepted candidates have been selected and set up. We hope to regularly open these schemes moving forward to keep rewarding players for showcasing high quality roleplay, and activity on the server. We've also been working with @Rye and @Scumpy who oversee Scenario Scheme applications, and have introduced a new use for the scheme as a temporary measure in place of scripted drug manufacturing. Players who are approve in their application can now roleplay the manufacturing of crack cocaine and through the scheme, an admin will then reward them with crack in place of their cocaine. Our Scenario Schemes are extremely flexible, and we'll always do our best to try to support those who apply for it. If you have an idea you believe the Scenario Scheme can help with, please feel free to apply. For more information, please click here. Drug Decay: Drug decay is back by popular demand! We announced this approximately two weeks ago, and allowed for a two week grace period before the decay kicks in. As of 29 March 2025, decay is live - while IFC & the general community would've preferred for all stashes from prior to the server closing would be wiped/depleted significantly, this isn't something that the script can necessarily identify. Drug decay can be managed dynamically in-game, and we'll be closely monitoring the effects and strength of decay on drugs of all kinds throughout the server. For more information regarding decay and the drug system, click here. Illegal Faction Team: We've decided to reopen Illegal Faction Team applications this week. While we're still very focused on improving the illegal faction scene for our SAMP server. We've also been making alot of progress alongside our Development Team on RAGE/LSRP:V. @Dos Santos as previously mentioned in our last update is very much invested in RAGE and we'd like to appeal to anyone with an interest in supporting LSRP:V to reach out to any member of the Illegal Faction Council with an expression of interest. Interest in RAGE/LSRP:V is not necessary however, if you'd like to work with us on SAMP, please feel free to apply too as we're always looking for dedicated and active members to support our SAMP server. If you'd like to apply for Illegal Faction Team, please click here. Mapping Team Update Our Mapping Team have been hard at work for the last month or so bringing some updates to existing maps at request of factions in different parts of the map, we are currently in a testing phase and expect to see them in game very soon. Our mapping team is more active than ever, if you have anything you feel would bring a well needed update to the map then please don't hesitate to reach out to the Mapping Team Leader @Fiellavin. Below are some examples of the maps coming: Event Team Update March has been a successful month for our Event Team, we've held some large scale events, some of the ones that are memorable are the St Patricks Day Event and the most recent Flexing Loud Festival. We saw massive turn outs for both of these events and the other ones held within the community. These would not be possible without our Events Team, if you're interested in bringing new ideas forward then please reach out to @JustSid if you're interested to join, below are some images from the above events. Staff Update March has been a very good month for the community as a whole, consistently reach high numbers of players on our server. But with an increase number of players we received an even larger increase of work for that the staff team work on and plow through each and every month, before I move on and share promotions within the team I want to share some of the key stats: There were a total of 3418 reports handled There were a total of 3382 help requests handled There were a total of 17 refund requests handled There were a total of 63 forum reports handled There were a total of 305 character applications handled This is just a small insight to what our staff team have to deal with a monthly basis while also indulging in their own roleplay and positions they are in, whether it be faction, companies and more. I want to give them a massive shoutout and thank you. The number of applications coming through is great to see and I want to give a warm welcome to the new players in our community, I hope our team is welcoming and provides the best possible experience for you! Moving on, congratulations to our newly promoted staff members: Senior Admin Lemon Trainee Admin demigod — alooshy
