Seems like I ruffled a few feathers with that one.

 

I’ll provide some context for the uninitiated. Cocaine Caliphate has consistently roleplayed his character Carmen living with his NPC mother out in Palomino Creek. He makes references to his Ma frequently in his roleplay, both through speech and his /me’s.

 

Scroll back a few pages and you will see Carmen CK’d Richard’s younger brother, which Rich discovered via in character means. Given the history, personality and fraternal dynamic of Richard and his brother, he utilised the little information he had at his disposal to retaliate. 
 

Nothing that people value on this server (i.e money, drugs and weapons) was lost. This was purely roleplay, which, ironically, appears to have no value in this situation. I even expanded it to incorporate other in character relationships and players instead of cheaping out with a single /me. 
 

What’s disappointing here is Carmen’s outright refusal to roleplay accordingly unless provided with OOC evidence that he deemed satisfactory. What could have been an opportunity to expand on the evidently deteriorated relationship between these characters has devolved into OOC shithousery. 
 

@Cocaine Caliphate, it seems to me you’re choosing a strange hill to die on and allowing the unsavory manner in which I departed OOC ties with the faction, and your feelings about that, to seep into your roleplay.
